Squat Lobster - Galathea squamifera

With a body about the size of the top of your thumb, this is the smaller of the two Squat Lobsters most frequently seen on our coast. It can be found at low water amongst rocks and stones where it uses "tail" to propel itself backwards to escape trouble and amuse onlookers.
