Mermaids Tears

Plastic nurdles or Mermaids Tears as they are euphemistically known, are a pernicious form of marine litter found on the strandline, dangerous to wildlife & very difficult to remove. This raw material for the plastics industry is carried by ship in containers which are occasionally lost at sea and the contents washed up in their thousands on the shore.
