Oral History of North Devon's coastal communities......

Coastwise North Devon's opening meeting of the spring session concentrated on introducing our activities to new members. Among the reports on Shore Safaris, microscopy, Marine Conservation Zones and birding was an update on the highly successful Oral History project with Jill Portsmouth as the focal point and coordinator. Jill's report shows the importance of recording this type of history before the chance is lost, and the extent and depth of available history.

There's a huge amount of recorded interviews that would benefit from editing, so if anyone's interested in audio, here's something to practise on !
