Continuing our programme of Zoom talks as a substitute for the cancelled (at the moment) Summer Outdoor Programme, member Martin Corfe took us on a journey round the Devon, Cornwall and Dorset Coasts.
He and his wife and dog have walked the path in stages between 2009 and 2015, using caravans as a base.

Like all organisations Coastwise has been severely affected by the C-19 restrictions, and the summer programme of outside activities has had to be abandoned for the time being. However, there is a thriving communication process based on Facebook and Whatsapp, and as an experiment, a talk on coastal birds was delivered using Zoom.
Martin is a knowledgeable birder, and talked about birds seen and photographed on the Farne Isalnds, Alderney and North Devon, all places where he has lived and worked.
This is a small collection of pictures posted on the Coastwise Whatsapp Group, where members have been using their Daily Walk productively, noting and appreciating all around them and sharing their thoughts (and recipes) with others !

With everyone pinned down by Covid-19, Coastwise activities have taken a hit like nearly everything else, but this Newsletter (click to download), compiled by Paula Ferris, provides an update on what's happening.
The picture's only there to remind you that there is marine life out there.....Westward Ho! on the 0.0 tide on April 9th (when a strictly-exercise bike ride happened to go past the beach).
