Coastwise North Devon is recruiting members for a brand new weekly Our Coast course which starts at 9.45 am on 13th January in Barnstaple Library. Heading the line up of speakers are two from the media world.
At our AGM on 2nd Dec the Co-Chairs' Report was presented. Read about our leading roles in defining North Devon's Marine Conservation Zones, the success of the Shore Safari programme, our shore research activities such as plankton and organisms in mud (!), and our trips.
Up to half a dozen free places for recent graduates with relevant interests are on offer for Coastwise North Devon’s Our Coast course which starts on 7th October, and is currently the subject of a display in Barnstaple Library.
As the summer comes to an end, we're looking forward to meeting old and new members in the Autumn programme. We've had a very successful and interesting year, with an unprecedented level of Shore Safari beach events, beach surveys, and a strong influence on the Marine Conservation Zone process. The programme reflects some of this and as usual there's a very good range of topics to covers most interests.
